After the story aired, I was invited to be on the morning show on The Arch 106.5 FM in St. Louis on a show called “Spencer’s Neighborhood.” The show regularly features the positive things happening in the St. Louis community. I was very honored to be invited to give an interview about my experiences being cyberbullied and how I took action to help change the online social culture.
Both of these appearances made me so happy to have the opportunity to spread the message about STAMP. I hope I can do more of these interviews and appearances to invite even more people in my community to visit my website and my Facebook page and join my efforts. I appreciate the ability to get my word out to a lot of people at once. But, I also know that the individual connections are just as important as the big messages, like my connection with Harjas.
The news lately is filled with stories of conflict, violence, terrorism, corruption, crime, death, and hate. But, I am happy that there are some silver linings among the clouds. I have a positive message to share, and I’m so encouraged that people want to hear it.
I hope you will look for silver linings in your life, and please share it with me in the comments below. I would love to hear from you, because it would be nice to know I’m still making connections!
